EFQM has decided to postpone the EFQM Forum and, therefore, the EFQM Global Award Ceremony. It will now be taking place in October 2022 – instead of March 2022, with Lyon remaining the destination.
The main reason for the postponement is that many organisations may not support international travel until mid-2022. This will affect us both for the EFQM Global Award site visits planned in Quarter 4 2021 (which everyone is keen to do face to face) and also because individuals may not want or can travel to attend the Forum originally scheduled in March 2022.
This means that most organisations keen to enter the EFQM Global Award 2022, or at least consider it, would rather hold a site visit between May and July next year, meaning we could allow submissions by March/April 2022 and applications to year-end 2021. Some companies are still keen to do a year-end site visit in 2021, and for them, we will provide the full feedback report within 4 weeks and also allow the opportunity of an update session with members of their assessment team in May next year. We believe this will keep a level playing field for everyone.
